installed multyman 7.0 it worked, pointed about update 8.0 and worked too tried fifa 13 no problem.

i installed all the homebrew that supposed to work on 4.21 but none worked hopefully it gets better step by step as it happened when we moved from 3.41 to 3.55

Install the new MultiMAN 02.08.00+ It will work .That is what you need .. Get the FULL & you will see 421 pkgs ..There are also a HomeBrew thread here by GregoryResputin ,is signed to work on 421 ,like Comgenies Awesome File Manager = & FTP ++

That's what I did the first time...and again, and again. Now I'm back at XMB trying it again and it's still telling me corrupted data. I feel like I'm in limbo. The PS3 is working but none of my homebrew apps are working. It's acting more like I'm on OFW 4.21 without having ever installed it. I'll keep trying as I'm unsure what to do at this point.

You have to run QA, otherwise it won't work. All this is documented, guys read the instructions, everything is there... tips help, but always go to the instructions first.

Do you see the instructions quoted to me? They don't mention QA flag. They're the same as the instructions I followed the first time. QA flag is mentioned loosely but not in the guidelines of order of the instructions listed that I followed. Since I followed instructions first and ideas last, the only thing left to be asked is how the eff do I install QA flag from here?

obviously you don't, as the link and steps and download link are in the instructions.
If you want to make sure QA flag was set, go to "Network Settings" then apply the following key combo (all at the same time):

L1 + L2 + L3 (press left stick) + R1 + R2 + dpad_down
