Help! :P
Where to begin? hmm. Okay well I've been having problems with NAT Type 3 and I've tried everything from static IP, to DMZ (even enabling UPnP lol) and all that other stuff and I just can't seem to do it, theres no "port forwarding" in my router settings either. Although, all of that is not really my problem at the moment.
Right now, my PS3 keeps saying (in connection test) that it failed to Obtain the IP and its been working fine all week (its been working on an IP different to my static one), it just randomly stopped after my mums pc crashed and not been on since . Although if I use the IP address I created for the static thing, it'll come up and say "Succeeded" but then the Internet connection will fail and say DNS Error (it doesnt seem to like when I manually enter the DNS address, but it'll work if i choose automatic). I know for a fact that I'm entering the right address.. sure its not the one in command - ipconfig /all but its the address that seemed to have worked after creating an automatic thing and you check the connection list thing and it'll tell you what its connected to? Besides, the ipconfig address doesnt want to work either. It's weird, its like the IP address will only work on manual, and the DNS will only work on automatic, and you cant do it that way! ![]() I'm using some "Eagles router" (not wireless) on a Wifi Max dongle for my wireless connection.. the firewall is off, cant even access it with my psp either.. always says "timed out". No ones downloading anything, the signal is good.. but nothing. Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope!

my suggestion is to go buy a 40 dollar linksys wrt54g. theyre cheap, yet get the job done. not to mention you can use open source firmware to get alot of options seen with much more expensive routers.

It may be that your ports are blocked. Have you been to portforward.com and followed the tutorial on how to open ports on your router? I would post a link to the proper tutorial, but I need to know your routers name and model number. Also call your ISP they may have blocked access to those ports at your main hub.
