sorry for late reply.
try removing the tristate wire and perhaps gnd & 3.3v

but i think you will have to remove progskeet so the ps3 will boot

i dont know why but without them you cannot use the progskeet

Hey Everyone,

First of all, many many thanks to Bailey'sCream for this great tutorial. I don't know what we'd do without the help of guys like him. Thanking alone is not enough for this work but it is the only thing I can do now, so thanks a lot again.

I am one of those who is left with a bricked PS3 that doesn't even power up the USB on boot after updating to Rogero 4.21 CFW directly from TB firmware (my idiotness). Anyway, many thanks to Rogero he provided the way to unbrick now and I'd like to try it using the guide in the first page here.
I ordered one of those Teensy++ 2.0 from the official website. To be honest, I am a total noob to PS3 modding but I've done many PS2 modchipping with all success so I guess I will be alright with this one as well.
So now I have a few questions and if anyone can answer, I'll be really happy for I am kind of worried if I am going in the right direction. I really need your valuable advises.

* I ordered the Teensy++ 2.0 board and nothing else. Is this enough for unbricking my PS3? (it is pretty similar to downgrading process) Well I got the solder gun and cables ofcourse. What I mean is I don't need any other board or anything other than the Teensy++ 2.0 right?

* COM port is being mentioned in the guide. What is this com port. As far as I understand, we are using USB connection when taking & flashing the NOR dump so USB's have COM port?

*Just if I understanted correctly, I don't need any development board since Teensy++ 2.0 is itself one right?

Thank you so much in advance for your answers. And please forgive me for my English as it is my second language.
Regards,
Fatih

yes you dont need the volt reg anymore if you can get the pin headers pre-soldered and some jumper cables then this will make things easer but not really needed

com = comunication port everything has one
touch pad
display
keyboard
etc
so anything connected to usb also has one

thats right you just need the TEENSY++ and wires

Thanks a lot for your quick reply. I sent an email to the guy asking if they can do the pre solder. Hope they do it. Ok now i feel better after your answers. All i need now is the board to be shipped, hope everything goes fine and my ps3 gets back to life again.

Thanks

if your getting them soldered then go into the TEENSY++ guide as it tells you which pins need to go where
send that to them (cut paste) as not all at factory but they will do them if you ask politely

Hey guys!
Sorry for my noob question.... I have a CECH-2001A PS3 with 3.60 OFW from factory, it's possible to somehow downgrade it to 3.55 using Progskeet or E3 flasher or anyother way?

Thanks!
