Hey everyone. I have a slim PS3, model CECH-2501A, currently running kmeaw 3.55. I have never updated past 3.55, nor do I have qa flag. How should I go about updating to this CFW? Are there still issues with this particular model?

Wonder if its cause people on rebug are dehasing? Or if it's cause of kemew? I ran straight update from recovery from rebug 3.55-2 0.7 everything went flawless cept there is still a constant loading xmb logo in game section when I use home button from in game. Other thing, when loading resistance 3 it either shuts console off after the move splash screen, or during first lv. That probably is cause. Game needs update though, which I havnt done yet.

I think these bricks are just from people who can't follow instructions, or noobs to the scene.

No disrespect intended but follow instructions people, if you can't read stay on OFW! End of story.

I'm aware but I couldn't find a link to it so I installed 4.07.01 and then updated that to 4.08.

I don't see how Multiman updates will fix the psn games...

And is there a link to the updated bdemu somewhere?

Where can I find an updated bdemu? I can't now, everything is giving me the 80010017 error now that I am on 4.21

Update to MM 4.08. and try that. You're getting the same error I was getting. All I can tell you is to keep trying. Start over if you have to but keep trying. It worked for me. I was on v1 first so it made my attempts a little more buggy but I finally got it.

Looks like your model is good to go. Now the problem seems to be with the fat CECHH models particularly. As always, you're doing this at your own risk. Just follow the instructions here http://www.tortuga-cove.com/forums/v...p?f=127&t=3636

The good news is that your PS3 is still working so it isn't bricked. You're just lost somewhere in the middle. There's too many pages to sift through but if you did you'd see I went through the same thing. Same for me, I always seem to get that one exception in everything I do to make it a pain in the ass. An exception is better than a brick though.

lol I do agree there!

So once I finish the 4.25-3.55 update, should I switch back to kmeaw or rogero 3.55 cfw? Or rather I guess I should ask which did you use?

exactly! my ps3 is asian but i downloaded da usa version...i thought all ps3 games were supposed to be region free!!...WTH! i cant really download it again dis month, since it will exceed da download cap of my isp. anyways i would really appreciate if someone finds a way to unlock dis region thingy and tells me. Thanks.

The first time(v1) I went straight from KMEAW with no problems. When I did the downgrade I used Rogero as per instructed. Even if it tells you data corrupted at install just follow the steps until you get QA toggle to install. That seems like it's the only thing holding you back. It took several tries and reboots for me to get it.
