OK now it's doin the whole "install 4.40 or later" and keeps not finding the 3.55 rogero firmware.
Also my file system got corrupted again...

Updated to Rogero 4.21...Everything works fine except PSN Games...

What happened to them? Why they dont works anymore?

The funny thing, Journey works fine but every other game gives error 80010017

The 4.40 or later means you now need to install QA toggle. File system is corrupted as in your hard drive where you can't use it? If you have to start over again and get to the 4.40 part that's where you need to try and retry to install the QA toggle until you get the 2 or 3 beeps.

ok finally got the qa package to work, it black screened again, I hard powered off, ran it again and it finally worked right, installing rogero 3.55 now, if my understanding is correct I will have to re-run QA and then go to 4.21

As for the filesystem bit, it's been corrupting ever since I started this whole process last night, this was actually the 3rd time I've had to let the ps3 restore it...
Shouldn't be a bad HDD, it's only about a year old...

Good. Once you get past the QA toggle part you should be good to go. If you go to page 27 and 28 of this thread you can see where Homebrew developer @condorstrike and @LoboGuara helped me with the same problem

i downgraded from v1.00 to 3.55 which rogero post on tortuga use the first pup in xmb and from there i installed i qa toggle enter recovery mode install rogero 3.7a then qa toggle again from 3.7a enter recovery again then installed cfw 4.21 v1.09 all works well.. but tekken tag 2 shutting down my console but it worked with no patch

Ok so that did nothing.
Still 80010017 error on everything except multiman and ps1 games.
Here is every step I took along the way
1. Installed QA pkg and tried to run it on kmeaw 3.55. Sat at black screen so I powered off.
2. Decided to skip QA since I never downgraded and went to Rogero 4.21
3. Received 80010017 errors on everything so I installed multiman 4.07.1 and upgraded to 4.08
4. Still nothing worked so I Installed 4.25-3.55
5. Installed QA and finally got it working
6. Installed rogero 3.55
7. re-ran QA and made sure it worked (this involved running it twice, first time disabled it, second time re-enabled it)
8. Updated back to this f/w
9. At the same spot I was at on step 3

I did check the md5 on the 4.21 pup and it checks out so wth!?

success

using multiman 4.8 or whatever loads every game i have tried so far. i have not tried any PSN content yet.

From what I understand you've got it working. I've read that PSN games aren't working with the upgrade so that's normal. Probably need to be resigned or something. Also, you'll have to get new Homebrew compatible for 4.21 or resign them too. Your old ones for 3.55/3.41 won't work for you. The reason MM 4.08.00 is working is because Deank signed it to work with CFW 4.21
