I did just finally take the time to look and I have a cech-2501a. Not sure if v1 bricked them or not but I can sort through the posts I guess...

bro, i was getting the same error the same one you were getting. All i did was that i went back to the Roger4.21 cfw v1.00

Step1: downgrade to 4.25 to 3.55 from xmb (if u getting error while downgradeing that mean u all ready install 4.25 to 3.55)

Step2: download toggle_qa.pkg and install it and then run it

Step3: go to recovery mode and install 3.55 roger cfm, it is is complete, it will restart ur p.s 3

Step4: run toggle_qa again and go to recovery mode again and install roger 4.21 v1.00 and it will restart your p.s 3 and run the game that you were getting an erroe on it. Make sure that the games are working

Step5 if ur games started to work angin just update to roger 4.21 v1.09d with these step

You also missed the part where I said mine is BRICKABLE with v1. You know, in the post RIGHT ABOVE YOU!

2 been there done that, and im happy to use v1 till a more stable cfw releases as it does what it says on the tin.

bro go back to v1 frist and run the that u getting error make sure they work and then update v1.09d with those steps same thing happen to me last night i was up still 3am bro i got it fix

The new CFW works perfectly for me. The update from 3.55 kmeaw to 4.21 rogero went smoothly, just had to reinstall multiman afterwards. Does anyone know if playing region-locked games is possible on this? I'd like to load Persona 2 Arena and play it, but I'm living on the good old continent. Thanks in advance and best regards!

idont get it why you necesary need v1.9 instead of v1(except 25xx ps3)?
i have installed v1 on 7 ps3 so far and no problem wahtsoever.
the idea of v1.9 is for 25xx ps3 that have brick with v1.

Another user asked the same thing on page 41 or 42 I believe. I made a thread some time ago asking about the region lock, since I had very little knowledge of it. Some people who replied to my thread said the region lock was simply some parameters in the param.sfo and was easily altered. Other people said there was no such thing in the param.sfo, so I have no clue what to believe anymore. Hopefully someone can look into it or come up with a fix of some sort sometime in the near future.
