well i had a DVI cable for my pc before i got my ps3... its the best connection possible since i already seen major changes (lags...sync problems) when using a regular cable and the DVI one...
and i bought a DVI-HDMI adapter that works great on my samsung 19" monitor with 1080p resolution...

i'll try recording someday if i'll know how to...

Hmm if I got a HDMI spliter then sent one cable to my tv I could get the other HDMI lead and (if there's an adapter) get a HDMI to AVI adapter then plug that into my archos 605. That would work, rite?

you will still need something like hdfury to strip hdcp for you to record it.

This is becoming beyond a joke. There is no way I can afford all of this, Sony should bring out a gameplay recording kit maybe in that PlayTV set. The halo 3 replay thing is great I wish other games would do the same thing :/ .

is not really a joke..... stripping hdcp from the signal is illegal as it would allow you to record blueray and such. so sony will for sure not come out with a solution for you.

if your pc can record through dvi imput hdfury has a solution for you
if your pc can record through vga they also have a solution for you.

i can only record through svideo or coax with the card i got. but recording 1080p would fill up hdd's so quick i wouldnt care for it anyways. but catputing a few screenshots would be nice

but to wrap this up

with hdfury + a video spliter + a pc card to record it youd be all set.
