ok, I'm not so n00b... I know what a memory dump is... But could anyone please tell how the guys get those bits from the console? opening it and using a flasher?? using tools from an installed linux distro?

AFAIK, @DarkhackerPS3 claimed he signed the lv2diag to get into FSM mode on a 3k model.. not sure if it's true, but still. btw, does anybody know whats going on with him nowadays? last time I checked he was laying in the hospital.

anyway, he claimed to got into FSM on a 3k model by some exploit / signing procedure that an anonymous guy told him
