i know but they shouldnt be twisted at all
there could be a tiny short on one of the components that is now creating the short report in winskeet you dont need a board that can brick your ps3. ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* just had a thought in the progskeet download section where you got the 1.2 bitstreem from the read me says open r7 close r8 for nand close r7 open r8 for nor can you close r8 to put it in nand mode and see if you still get the shorts. it just a thought but i wonder if its shorting with it not being set to a mode |

It wont hurt for you to take some dumps. if your 100% sure there is no shorts then your be ok. close r8 by creating a short, bridge solder across both pads, to open R7 remove the resistor from the board. Last edited by hewman; 10-29-2012 at 12:19 PM. |

Open means to remove the short ( or remove the resistor )

@hewman

@hewman
idea and shoot for a dump to see what I get. ill also still be trying to get ahold of uf6667 to see if this is something i can ignore

I'm really curious as to how a QSB is going to work with the PS3 NANDs. The one thing holding me back (besides the test for shorts error) is getting up the nerve to solder to the NAND legs (like in the PS2 days). I'm not as steady handed as I was back then. Is there another option? Something similar to the test points of the NOR?

There are alternate points to solder to for some of the NAND connections, but they aren't much easier to solder, about 6 or 7 connections still need to be soldered to the NANDS directly because there are no alternate points. The clips do work, just need to be careful, waaay easier than soldering! |
