Oh god. I'm in a mess right now. My PS3 just crashed after installing 4.30 CFW (it updated perfectly) and my hard drive gave me the must rebuild error. After restarting to see if it would go away, the system file fails also. I used the downgrader file from 4.21 CFW to 3.55 CFW and it seemed to work (I can install QA pkg file) and the system info reads 4.21. Then I activated QA, went to update system and chose the 3.55 CFW file but it gives me an error saying something about I'm already on a FW higher than the one on the disk. HELP!!!! I really want to downgrade back to 3.55 right now and it wouldn't let me install 4.30 either.

Can someone help me, everything went fine and smooth, went from Rebug 3.55-2 up to 4.30, but when i try to log into the PSN i get the same error as aragon257.

(80710104) DNS, i've restarted the router and the PS3. I can connect to the net just not the PSN, i've tried deleting my user account and making another but can't connect to create another user.

Any help would be wonderful. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: FIXED > Go to Settings>System Settings>Restore Default Settings. Go through the whole process then you should be able to sign-in.

I guess i was wrong,its on here Kmeaw was talking about Vita support but that was 10 months ago and i took it for a news.I havent been folowing him because i been using ps3ita and rogero mainly.Youre probably right he no longer making cwf for ps3.And its a shame because in Russia sony cant sue him like they do in other countries.

Just to refresh with positive and factual information, only brick reported at Tortuga Cove (http://www.tortuga-cove.com/forums/v...p?f=127&t=3715) was because of "User Error".

So, idk what is all the negative stuff, I have been using the CFW since yesterday and have not found any issues. PSN OK, Backups are OK, System is behaving OK, multiMAN is working OK, latest released games are working OK (tested Resident Evil 6 and Need For Speed Most Wanted (2012)).

Everyone have been reporting success at Tortuga Cove, people are only having issues because they have done something wrong themselves, "NOT BECAUSE OF THE CFW".

I think I will work on a step by step guide at some point if no one else does it, because all the problem report is from people who don't know many technical details from their PS3 console. I haven't seen experienced users reporting any important issues yet.

By the way, to get updated information people should check the original post at Tortuga Cove, there is all the info updated by Rogero himself:
