i tried looking around but i wasnt able to find such information,how is the psn passprashe correlated to the pwning of lv0?
Does it also mean that sony cant prevent access to sen services from now on?

Likely it's hidden in LV0 and since LV0 can now be decrypted....If it's not in LV0, LV1\2 can now be decrypted too with a bit of work even if keys change...

So all basis covered.

Thank you that was what i expected but this rises another question did all the others passprashes always got leaked?

They can prevent PSN access if for some reason certain people are no longer able to obtain the passphrase. Sony could also add more security and different authentications protocols. Right now PSN access would be hard to stop because 4.30 is the same as current firmware so the passphrase and everything the PS3 would need to connect is in the firmware.

What kamel is referring to is the ability to decrypt a 4.30 vsh. Once Sony stops this last hack (and yes I think they can stop it, lv0 is not the ultimate solution like 99% of people think) then we will no longer be able to easily get the passphrase and PSN access will be few and far betwenn. Like it has been for the last year.

Now what Sony needs to do is start being like MS and banning people. I hate being like that but I have always been against MFW and PSN due to the cheaters, and potential for a norrmal MFW user to also cheat. Look at what has happened to CoD. Look at what has happened to SOCOM. I bet there is a certain forum full of people (not saying any names but most people know who I am talking about) loading all of their cheats on their MFW PS3s and are ready to cheat. I actually got PMed yesterday and was getting asked about making ps3 user cheat work on 4.30, and would Sony do anything if they were caught using it online. I had to ignore whoever this was so I didnt make him cry and possibly catch criminal charges.

Legit users paid for their console, they have paid for all of their games that they play online, and I dont care what people say, but most of my friend's list doesn't cheat (people like saying OFW has as many cheaters os MFW.) Now sure OFW can cheat, but any good cheats require a modded PS3 in order to install or transfer the cheats. There were people at NGU installing CoD mods then updating. They didnt want the homebrew, they didnt even want warez, they just wanted to get enjoyment out of ruining someone else's experience. So yes, I hope Sony does start banning modded boxes or closes the hole for PSN. The only reason 3.55 is still accessing PSN is because we are still in that 1 week period sony usually leaves open after any new FW update. In the next few days they will start implementing the use of the passphrase and 3.55 will be off PSN again.....well at least until a 4.30 user passes out the passphrase.

We have no business being on PSN with modified boxes. You may see it as "well we had PSN taken from us" but I see it as "You made a choice. You cn't have your cake and eat it too."

I keep my CFW machine offline regardless of updates in PSN access.

I bought my OFW machine to play online, and I would hate to be online with cheaters/modders. They ruin it

To be honest i like CFW only for psn access since im not that much of a single player gamer, in my case i play mostly fifa/pes online with friends and i was valutating to buy a online pass for fifa but i want to see if sony can block access making it useless.
But back on topic @BobbyBlunt why isnt lv0 ultimate solution?

Exactly. I have 2 xboxes and 2 ps3s. My MFW PS3 has been on PSN 1 time and that was last night when I was playing with 4.30 CFW. I logged in, said hi to a friend, logged back out. 360s are the same way. JTAG/RGH boxes don't need to be on Live. One of my 360s is a trinand RGH with a flashed drive. I can have all my homebrew and USB game loading on my RGH nand but once I flip my switch I am in retail mode. I cant see my homebrew, I cant load games from USB, and most importantly I really cant cheat as easy as I ould with a RGH. Now my drive is flashed mainly for my retail side but that is so I can use backups on live. Yes I say backups because I have a Lite ON 0800 drive and a kreon drive to rip 360 games, and a burnermax drive to burn them. Playing a backup isn't the same as a full on modded box. With 360 there are modded xex files and this is essentially the same as a modded eboot. Those do not work on retail.

Most modders wanting PSN access are going to end up giving a legit user some type of bad experience at some point. You don't always have to cheat to ruin another user's experience. We all will knowingly or unknowingly do it at some point. How do you think the legit user feels when they find out what MultiMAN is, see a "friend" using it on PSN, yet they have to go buy their games. I have lost a good PSN friend because of me being a modder. He actually accused me of knowing about and helping with the PSN hack. We haven't spoken since, and he would have never have associated me with "hackers" if he didnt see me using SNES and knowing I could just load games from HDD without a disc. He also saw the SOCOM cheats and knew a box like mine was what was responsible for that game turning into a cheaters haven. Guilty by association but he brought up a good point. "Every MFW PS3 on PSN was a potential cheater." Sure OFW has glitches and lag switches and blah blah blah, but we have cheats. There is a difference

I could get into it but I am about to leave. Everything I am thinking is just theory and I would love to proven wrong, but these"keyz" and all this "we have lv0" talk is misunderstood. Sony has a few tricks left in our PS3s that can stop us from installing any further CFW like we are right now. LV0 is a big step and I am happy we arent stuck on 3.55, but it isn't the final solution....not in a long shot.
