Did you instal this from recovery mode? It's the safest way to instal any of them. My Showtime didn't work but didn't delete be4 installing it n probly was meant for 3.55 n my one game was signed for 3.55 n worked as well as final fantasy XIII-2 n worked aswel n without game in drive

i have a PS3 FAT CECH00 i was using ROGERO CFW 4.21 updated from 3.55.
Today i have installed E3 CFW 4.30, and works perfectly fine.
I just Formated my Hard Drive first because my old installation from 3.55 doesnt works with BD Discs like MW3. Now is all working, and i make and Backup from MW3 on External USB HDD and im playing online all day,

Just Download
Create the PS3 Folder
Creat UPDATE Folder
Rename .pup to PS3UPDAT.pup and past inside
folder UPDATE
put USB PENDRIVE on PS3 in ANY PORT, chosse UPDATE FROM USB MASS STORAGE
AND NO PROBLEM.
I dont do an downgrade to 3.55 and no needed to change from CFW 3.55
i just put CFW 4.21 and today when i see this new E3 CFW i just put inside my USB PENDRIVE and UPDATED to E3 CFW 4.30
No problem at this moment.
When you stay installing just be patience no cancel update if you see is a litlle slow install here installed in 1m30s fast and fine.

Does anybody know how to downgrade from THIS version (E3 4.30 CFW ) without taking many risks ? I rather move to Rogero's CFW instead of this one but I'm not sure which steps I should follow.
Thoughts?

Honestly Right now tis cfw or Kiosk is better than Rogero for the moment and isnt as buggy. I have had no issues with it at all. Works well but i have woundered if they are gunna tie this cfw to there flasher thro update which wouldnt suprise me at all

But, why you want to back to Rogero 4.30 if E3 do the same thing.
Just because Showtime? or Multiman?
Is just do an Download and install this is not necessary the risc of downgrade.
Or maybe if you like Boot screen with words Rogero hahahaha
But this is easy to disolve too just use that program to install you own personal
Boot screen hehehe

Personally I'd stick with e3 for now if you wanna downgrade you need to go back to 3.55 then go back to rogero cfw but I wodntd stick with e3 for now it has better suppoert but in reality they are both the same

Id stick with 3.55 cfw. All games are getting eboots lightning ****ing quick. Eg.. AC3, NFS: Most Wanted.

The latest firmware is 4.30, other than the optional firmware 4.31 release by Sony, you can play all games with the latest update. For now.

Hi all,
I have E3 flasher installed in my PS3. with ver 3.55

after read from what said by xstationbr, i manage to update my PS3 ver3.55 to E3 CFW4.30.

below are the steps i taken to update my PS3 firmware:

1) download "E3 CFW 4.30 and manager.zip" provided by E3

2) unzip the file with password: www.e3-tech.net

3) you will get 2 files after unzip, "E3 CFW 4.30.pup" and "E3MANAGER430.pkg"

4) find any empty USB flash drive (with FAT32 format)

5) create a folder called "PS3"

6) in the "PS3" folder, create another folder called "UPDATE"

7) copy the file "E3 CFW 4.30.pup" into the folder "UPDATE"

8) rename the file "E3 CFW 4.30.pup" to "PS3UPDAT.pup"

9) start PS3 with E3 CFW 3.55 as usual

10) once XMB is loaded properly, insert the USB flash drive into PS3 USB port (any port)

11) from the XMB, scroll to "Settings", then select "System Update"

12) from the system update screen, select "Update via Storage Media"

13) PS3 will found and indicate version 4.30 update is available

14) follow the on screen instruction for the system firmware update.
