Well i will *Nucleate* all the info that we have in HAX about this in order to stay organized and avoid useless threads.

On 22.10.2012 PS3 LV0 keys have been leaked and reported to be working.

Question is what we can do with lv0:

When bootldr keys got filtered allows us to sign lv0, what this means? that we have a big *chance* of developing superiors CFW passing 3.55 barrier.

Besides that we can do what the hell we want with certain limitations.

Then on 22/10/2012 was published this: Rogero's *Magic*

Rogero (man this guy is awesome) released CEX-4.21 CFW with the recent LV0 leaked 4.21 keys.

But this happened:

This CFW doesn’t have LV1 checks disabled and can’t be installed on Downgraded PS3 consoles unless you have Dehashed/Reset Syscon Properly.

So Rogero was in *Testing* stages.

On 25/10/2012 Rogero's CFW BRICK FIX get released:

Because what happened before, some problems but now fixed.

25.10.2012 = Rogero's 4,21 v4 LEAK

I will not post nothing about this because this can cause some big mess on your PS3 but it's not bad to add it to this some kind of timeline.
Long story short, some *Morron* posted this CFW that was not checked. (How he get it?...clueless)
And was not rogero's work or if it was, maybe was incomplete.
So ignore that but you were warned.

DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS FILE YOU CAN CAUSE A BRICK UNLESS YOU DOWNLOAD FROM TORTUGACOVE.

26/10/2012: Some *WEIRD* CFW got released called CEX ARCH 4.21 Beta Released (for 3.55)

On this BETA release seems that someone tried to hijack Rogero's work (maybe im wrong).

I recommend NOT TO INSTALL this since Rogero's WORK is 100% accurate, unless he is making some tests.

Bear in mind this is *new* and will take some time until we can figure out many other things.

26/10/2012 = Rogero releases CEX-4.21 v1.09 but some Users Still Have problems:

Well you know trial/error Rogero asked for some beta testers for his CFW.

To quote:

A few hours ago we posted an article here asking for beta testers for Rogeros 4.21 CFW, well v1.09 has been offcially released, here is the change log: v1.09 Details and Changes - Compatibility problem with some Slim models (CECH-25xx) is now fully fixed. - XMB Icons problem from in-game PS button is now fixed. - Loading games from App_home Icon is now fixed. - Many other fixes from version 1.00 for a better performance and added stability. - It was tested by hundreds of testers on all PS3 models (FAT & Slim) and no problems were encountered. - It can run games signed with Keys up to version 4.21 without any Eboot/Sprx patching needed - Games can be loaded from Disc Icon (with Original game in BD) and from app_home (Disc-less, but not all games). - Current 3.55 homebrew applications can’t be loaded on this CFW, applications must be re-signed properly for FW4.21.

reading from all the thread with regard to the LV0, it may sound still a bit far off from a full 4.21 CFW. (without the need to downgrade to 3.55 cfw first)

my gut feeling is that, having ps3 going to be 7 y/o model, the hacking of it would be eventually more havoc, down the road sony would be releasing ps4 where all the attention from sony would be focus on this new ps, hence the existing ps3 would NOT be patched as frequent as now.

in other words, it would be history repeat of what a ps2 in today world of ps3. only when this happening, we would see hacked ps3 wide open for all sort of possibilities.

until these days come, i would not held high hope on this hack scene. feel free to share thought on this topic. thanks
