I know this is technically a 4.21 resign thread but is anyone having difficulty installing some pkgs on 4.30? All the homebrew I already had installed for 4.21 works fine so far, but there are several PKGs that I cannot install on 4.30. The pkg installation throws up an error. Oh well, I have everything I really need, but I was curious as th whether or not this is a common problem?

Im having trouble too, im on 4.30 CFW and so far, cold boot installer wont run, dev_blind and comgenie's filemanager wont even install, been getting an error message for those two...

Edit:Common user error by my friend. Pup was recognized as a known file type so his pup was named ps3updat.pup.... not exactly sure what he did

I did not know that...well there was no note regarding this when I was installing Rogero's CFW on the tortuga site.

I didnt find out until I installed it. I actually thought a friend of mine was trolling me so I deleted comgenie's file manager and dev_blind. After that I couldnt get them to install again. Comgenie's file manager worked fine before I removed it though

wait it worked before removing it?.....goddamnit I feel stupid now...

ah well, since i have multiman I guess I can survive without comgenie and dev_blind, but lets say if I needed to go back to 3.55 and inorder to go to 4.21, and then downgrade and dehash again to 4.30CFW, will it be safe as long I dehash after downgrading and use QA toggle?

Well i've still not took the dive to 4.xxcfw but i ran windos eboot through all options in the resigner, if my guess works right you should be able to install windos final for 3.55 on 4.xx cfw's/dex and just replace the eboot. Also some should work for my other dos games/toys
