2001a on 4.21 OFW, options to getting to cfw?
hi guys, what are the options to get this sucker to CFW? could i try E3's 4.30 sincei ts a higher upgrade would the ps3 upgrade to that would it not?
i know with rogero his cfw he said go to 3.55 OFW or 3.55 CFW??? and try to upgrade, but im just curious, Thanks! |

The only way to install a CFW is to downgrade it to 3.55 first, and the only way to do that is using a hardware flasher. Google "E3 flasher", or search around the forums for more information.

Somebody bricked (i think) already with E3's one.
Best solution = Wait a little more. Someone more experienced than me will lend you a hand on this @Octan3  You can get E3 flasher on modchipcentral or any other site. Like @hostile666 said.

good stuff, but i'd almost wonder or hope if its possible with out a flasher? that would be nice, but yeah i figure to wait and see or see what others think

I like my PS3, but based on the tutorials, youll have to use a hardware flasher to downgrade in order to upgrade to a CFW like Rogero CFW 4.30 v1.00.

what would happen if i was to try and take cfw 4.3 and update, would it say it cant? would it go through and possibly brick?, im just CURIOUS, im not going to, but i'd just like to know how this firmware stuff works, ( already flashed my 2501A to 4.21 cfw)
