Don't know. I'm still on 3.55 KMEAW.

But the "latest version of ROGERO 3.40 CFW" I meant was the one that got the bricking fixed.
I don't think that there's a newer version than that right now.

But if you look at Hax's front page, you will see that there's a Sony 4.31 OFW coming.
It's not an important update, but if ROGERO will cover that one, they'll probably fix that grouping folder bug since so many have issues with that (and complain about it)

The jailbreaking process probably changes some key files that should be the same across all PS3s on the same firmware. I'm thinking something as simple as looking at an MD5 hash of those files might be enough. It's probably more complicated than that though but the same general idea. We also know that Sony does send some kind of log to itself from the PS3. At least I remember reading that back in the early 3.55 days which is one of the reasons we had patches to block access to certain playstation services.

Really this is the kind of stuff we should be asking Rogero since he made the CFW and may know a bit more about what's going on behind the scenes.

i dont know men lol im just enjoying the days till they shut this all down and banning is useless i think they can just ban ur account not the whole console... enjoy this privilege of playing online with your backups.. you cant even play online on backups on pc

I'll try and ask again.... sorry if i bother someone, I just updated to CFW 4.30 i can sign into PSN but everytime i try to play online AC3 or Uncharted (Only ones I've tried) the game doesnt recognize my Online Pass code, I reactivated my console on ps3 and redownloaded passes still games asks me to buy or redeem if i hit buy I get no content available at this moment

Any help would be much apreciated
