as for me a noob, i love my 3.55 , and still have lots of games need to be played , in the mean while there's lots of new games with 3.55 fix from good teams like Duplex and unSANE , NODRM , ...etc ...with respect to all of them, so this means u r free to do what ever u want to do, upgrade or stay 3.55 ...

i love my 3.55 and am not going to upgrade ,,, as am not a fan for online gaming and a fix is enough for me to make me happy....

People seem to not understand what a scene release group is.

Duplex is a scene release group. Their goal is piracy/sharing of copyrighted content. They are not a group that is for the PS3 Scene, they just enable piracy. Same as PC/BD/DVD/TV/etc. scene groups. They follow a set of rules that release groups make for a scene, and release things for downloading.

How long will they keep releasing 3.55 fixes? Who knows. Their goal is to release something that is working. They may just drop 3.55 or may release Eboots/games that work on all custom firmwares.

Im on CFW 4.30 then you dont have to have Eboot Patches..

But why would they have to release fixes that work on all firmwares if they can just release games that work on the latest CFWs? Seems like extra work for something they do for free.

It is your decision to stay on an outdated firmware, not theirs.

The only reason to stay on 3.55 is because not all homebrew is signed for 4.21 yet. After it is then people will be signing their homebrew with newer keys and 3.55 will be the new 3.41. So I guess we will just end up having three sets of all homebrew? eventually sony will update their firmware again and people on 4.21 will need eboot patches. Seems like most people forget about that.

Personally I’m waiting for rebug to release their 4.30, as my fascination is in the brewing, mediaplayers and retrogaming.

Well, for version fetishists that could be true, but that said 3.41 has better dev tools.

My guess is there will be 3.41 and 4.30 signed from here on.

I just want them to make a cfw were 3.55 fixes work on the latest firmware I never bothered to save the original eboots

Duplex is a scene release group. I have written this before. There will probably be people releasing patches, but this is a piracy group whose sole reason of existence is to enable piracy. They don't really care who is running what.

I have not seen Duplex release 3.41 patches lately...
