All this is well and fine. However the bigger question is. Will these new CFW's work on say v4 or older Phat ps3's. As some cfw's in the past has caused phat ps3's to brick whilest others caused slims to brick. Any info on this would be helpful.

My reason for asking is I have a 001a model which is the phat 60gb launch ps3. (yes amazingly its still going strong). I dont wanna risk bricking it. As it is on k 3.55 cfw

I think worths the shot to add about 3K series @GregoryRasputin almost 4 thread per week asking if 3K series can be downgraded or if they can use this CFW'S.

what exactly is stopping anyone from making a cfw to use from ofw with out downgrades since its almost impossible to buy one now

For serious? The hard ones to find are the full Progskeet kits for the original NAND PS3's. I have the original 60GB NTSC CECHA01 model, and it took me forever to find a site that sells the kits because E3 doesn't work on NAND.

Anyway, now that Progskeet v1.2 is out, there is lots of sites that have them. I dunno if we are allowed to post direct links here, so just go to Progskeet's website and then to Distributors, and find one from your country. I immediately found a full kit and ordered it. I can't wait!

Dudes, just out of curiosity, I am on CFW 3.55, if I upgrade to CFW 4.21/4.30, in case it didnt work out, can I get back on CFW 3.55 or I am doomed...?

yeah i've tried every site and almost bought a fake by stupidity but modchipcentral is crazy i think their scamming ppl
