My PS3 is currently on Rogero 4.21 and have access to PSN using YAB, I was able to download a demo from PSN Store, install and play it without problems. My question is can I buy content, i.e. a game, from the store and play it even if psn is blocked again or if I upgrade to the 4.30 CFW?

Afaik the *safer* way is to be on OFW.
But when dantez released the PLUS thing...well idk.

Never done a purchase over PSN but if i do it sometime in the future will be on OFW.
I got more *chances* to recover back what it's mine and i payed for it than being on CFW if eventually i get some ban which i doubt it or something happens to my account.

I would just really like to get both Nights and Sonic Cd lol, and with having only one PS3 buying from OFW wouldnt be and option for now

The whole idea is getting two PS3 if you really *care* about buying stuff on PSN.
One for homebrews, DEX, or the hell you want to do with it not relaying too much if you have CFW access to PSN or not.

And another one 100% legit, meaning = OFW, PSN access, no problem in doing online purchases hence you are legit, like i said above = you have more *chances* if something happens to your account to get it back.

Many ppl buy some second hand one just for OFW, maybe a 3K.

One OFW, another just for brews.

The best you can do..
Some personal experience a friend of mine bought Resident evil 6 archives (physical edition) and we had to use VPN to download the other 2 games.
Was a pain in the arse to do that but sometimes even being legit can bring you severe headaches. (On xb0x360) = Region Lock.

I bought the *normal* version on PS3..online co-op gameplay sucks btw.

It's cheaper at the end of the day to get a second hand PS3 = OFW in your case and purchase PLUS subcription or just buy a PSN network card like this one = click and you are good to go.
Always check your local retailer since this one is for US if you don't live in US well it's another issue
