Not external USB, but AC3 took a VERY long time to load from internal for me, saying it took 30 minutes wouldn't be exaggerating. Eventually it finished loading and gameplay was fine. Subsequent loads have been very quick after that initial one.

So, i installed the Rogero cfw 4.30 and everything is fine except for the stDisc2. The readme in the latest version of multiman says that stDisc2 should work in cfw 4.30, but it give me a black screen... so, now i can't read my videos in dvd with showtime

Is just me, or anyone else has the same problem?

It would be nice if there was a 3rd download option. Having all the extras in one rar, or adding them to the base pkg. I would assume it does not help the host to have everyone downloading the full package, when some only need the updated extras. Some have also been vocal about speed via sendspace, perhaps http://multiupload.biz/ or http://www.1filesharing.com/. I myself prefer multiupload.

Then I need to get from 3.55 OFW to Regero 3.55.7 cfw.
Then "from recovery install 4.30 regero".
Then I install the latest Multiman.
Then I delete all the games I have(cause they are ficed for 3.55 and not for 4.30 cfw) and get them without a 3.55 fix.
Then I could just rip (IE)Borderlands 2 and play it without any fix or w/e.

Am I correct? lol

I'm 90% sure that is correct.
But if you want the best CFW then install Rebugs 4.21 REX CFW it will install over any 3.55 FW

As I am reading the "PS3 4.21/4.30/4.xx CFW User Guide" topic, I come up on this page (CaptainCPS-X’s Quick Tips For Those Jumping From CFW’sPS3 Hacks)

This page tells me to do all this stuff related to "Toggle QA PKG".

But this all Unnecessary if I go from TBFW to Rex -Rebug 4.21 CFW, am I correct?



So all I'll have to do is this: (With help from @itskamel 's topic)

1.

Make sure your on CFW 3.55, and eject any game disk in your drive as the ps3 looks to blu ray for update before usb and we wouldn't want that.

I'm on TBCFW and have no disks in my drive.

2.

Even if your console has never been downgraded I suggest you do this step anyway. Install REBUG toggle QA pkg, run the pkg, now you should hear some beeps. Next go to network settings and do the button combo to ensure that the system was properly dehashed. L1 R1 L2 R2 L3 and DOWN on the d pad (all at the same time) debug settings should appear. If it did not try all the steps again. REBUG Toggle QA Download - https://dl.dropbox.com/u/64707444/To.../toggle_qa.pkg

I've installed Toggle QA pkg and the debug setting appeared when I did the button combo.

3.

If you're on 3.55 and you want to go to 4.21 then use the 4.21 REX pup. can be found at http://rebug.me Now once you have downloaded the firmware that you wish you will need to rename it like this. REBUG_4.21.1_REX_PS3UPDAT.PUP to PS3UPDAT.PUP Now you will need a usb stick formated to fat 32, then you will need to create a folder on the root of the usb stick called "PS3" then inside that folder you will create another folder named "UPDATE". So it will look like this. X:/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP PS3UPDAT.PUP being the firmware that you are choosing to install.

I download the correct file from rebug.me, rename it and put it on my fat 32 formated usb stick in the X:/PS3/UPDATE/ file

4.

Plug the usb stick into the far right port on the ps3 (closest to the blu ray drive) and navigate to the system update, and select via storage media. (NOT RECOVERY MENU) Let the firmware install. DO NOT TURN OF OR TOUCH THE PS3.

I follow the above steps and install the FW

5.

Go to the game catagory and then to "package manager". Next to "install package files". Last to "PS3 hard disk". Then you will see "REBUG TOOLBOX", install it. REBUG TOOLBOX should now be in your xmb run the package

I install REBUG TOOLBOX and then the package in my XMB


6.

This is not needed unless you want the settings I use. Either way here they are. "Selector" System Mode = REBUG XMB Operation = DEBUG Now your spoofed and should be able to access PSN/SEN with your account information. WARNING: CHANGE OTHER SETTINGS AT YOUR OWN RISK!

IDK if I need this, but if I want to be able to use PSN/SEN then I'll have to do it?
I also need to install the latest MultiMan after all this, right?



After all that I should be able to rip Borderlands 2 of the original cd, put it on my 500gb USB hard drive thing, and play the game without any problems.
