I think everyone forgot about the emails Sony sent out during the initial 3.55 burst when we had PSN access then. They can detect these boxes. Also using F*CKPSN is also funny because while everyone thinks "my console ID is blank, so I am safe" needs to realize PSID and mac address are still exposed.

Also there are already talks of many many people that are about to warez Black Ops2 and start playing now.....with this being the case Sony needs to step up and start banning. Hmmmm MFW on PSN, lots of children that like to act leet over at NGU, a couple weeks before legit users get the game, and what do you have? DAY 1 MODDED LOBBIES. Sony is going to have to step up or they will start losing their OFW customer base. Sony has already lost many of us as potential PS4 early adopters and if they start losing the legit users over modders cheating we will just be more hated than we are now, and PS4 may very well bomb. I dont want to look back on PS3 while maybe considering buying a PS4 and thinking "Yeah I paid $60 for every game I bought, only to have it overrun with cheaters and having to watch people play games weeks early for free that I had to pay for" That would make me look at another console and PSN being free wouldnt even cross my mind at this point LOL

So you can unban yourself if your console ID gets banned but what happens when you get account banned? I hope you didnt buy much PSN content on that account....

If you have to get on PSN then just run your actual games (no not your backups) dont use any cheats or mods, dont use homebrew while logged into PSN and have some damn respect for the people that just want to play a game.

Console ID is the problem not spoofing or changing the MAC.
You can change in theory 100 times your IP/MAC and the ban is on the account/Console ID = Screwed 4 ever.
Going online with CFW having one PS3 and purchased games from PSN...well, not safe.

I have 2 ps3's one on Rogero 4.30 and one on Official Firmware -I have no interest in psn store on CRW console however what I have done is sign into psn in order to download save games via ps plus onto cfw ps3, so i can use them on remote play on my Vita (the only reason I bought the vita) Could I get banned for this?

Thank you!! I'm tired of playing GTAIV with all the damn cheaters online these days. Sony needs to ban consoles online with cfw. Cheating online ruins the game experience for the average user and really, how much fun can it be knowing that you are a cheating ****. If those ****s actually had any skills at gaming they wouldn't have a need to cheat. Maybe Sony or game developers can start making a section for cfw users only. I am sure that will never happen so i guess my real rant is, stop being a cheating **** and ruining my game.

PSN isn't safe.

While Internet is enabled, if you do such of those, you have a lot of chance to be ban :

1. Have an homebrew installed in the console : ex ****PSN, Multiman, any manager, any homebrews not done by sony
2. Open Multiman or an Homebrew
3. Play with a modded eboot (even if it is a fix to run the game)

It's way too easy to get ban and it's really random. At first I thought it only happened to others (Like a car accident you know) but it happened to me.

Sony is a ***** and doesn't care at all to ban your console ID. They have no hearth, don't get caught.

For the unbanning part, you can't unban your PSN account. However, the console can't be unbanned either but you can fake use another console ID. But you must use a real Console ID that isn't black listed. Hints : Rent a PS3 and use a sniffer to get its ID

I do agree that Sony ban people using custom firmware ONLY if they use mods online. Jailbreaking shouldn't be prohibited
