Blame it on the DRM

what bothers me is how ppl blame the reDRM, when devs had the keys, and withheld them until reDRM made a return. Damn it this is a COMMUNITY. everything done in the last week could have been done months ago. but alot of the better devs dont like sharing their work. (wether from fear or someone leaking their work (which alot of the time should have been released already))

I actually find it funny when devs get butthurt enough to leave the scene because someone hijacked what they hijacked, when it should have been made public in the first place. (only when talking about keys)

If anything (those that didnt pay for piracy) should thank the reDRM for getting the key(s)

The PS3 is coming to its end, thats concrete. so why does this community still seem every man for themself?

We all basically share your sentiment on this. There are a few sympathizers, as in a few who understand the devs feelings for not sharing (usually because the dev is in the ring of sharing with the devs and picking up crumbs).

It's all rotten to the core, long established.

Knew this for years, only really last 9 months or so have the majority come round to this stance. PS3 devs really do have very little respect from anyone now.

Point about the DRM dongles is that those companies producing them were sold the keys, the companies aren't to blame at all, it's not like they were dealing in ground up human fetuses sold as ancient medicine.

PS3 Devs to blame all the way.

...You have to also remember that it would appear quite a few of them had these keys...and NOT ONE shared them publicly, for what a year+

Talk about a-holes.

....You can read my post history for a more elequently, balanced opinion, all I can be bothered with as I'm shattered.

Bit of a dead horse though now, all this talk got done a week ago.

Blame it on the DEVs that keep Secrets and are Holding us back, and the Devs that cannot keep their keys in their Pants.

The Devs owe the community NOTHING.

Not sure I follow - reDRM is pure business operated by third parties. They PAY the developer and in exchange receive a product.

The devs who are allegedly against piracy sold the keys knowing they were going to be used for commercial piracy on a massive scale.

Who's the bad guys then?

The dealer, who swears an oath of moral high standing and righteousness or the junky business operator who doesn't claim to give a stuff, doesn't give a stuff and has paid for a business asset to make some money in a country where piracy is basically "legal"?

If you want to call me a "retard", back it up with reasoning please.

With all due respect, that's a terrible argument to use in an intellectual debate and basically the only one that is used from the devs. The gratitude trump card that is unanswerable is always tossed out on the table.

It's basically a "two wrongs make a right" line that a child would use to good effect in a playground.

Please back up the actions of the dev - why does this have to come back to entitlement?

....Ahhh, forget it . It does puzzle me though.

I cannot comment, your words are on a level too low of an understanding intellectually, perhaps read a book or two and come back when you actually state facts instead of your ridiculous assumptions that you worded in such a way that would make people think was true. End of discussion!

If the dev's do not get paid for their work, then why the hell would they be at fault?

They have the skills, do it because they can, as AsSiTcH said, they owe nothing to us.

True blue and the likes charge for work they never did...man you need to see the light.
