remove the ones making bad decisions and replace them with people with morals/ethics and the world/company will be a much happier/safer place.

sony make quality products. the ps3 is only one of those products.
if ps3 is 20% of all their worlwide products/services then how much of that 20% is bad? so for arguaments sake lets say 50% of their ps3 related business is corrupt/bad etc.

sonys market as a whole
80% awesome (audio/video/computing/other)
10% bad ps3
10%good ps3

thats 90% brilliant and 10% bad so as a whole i say that the company is excellent. its just the small amount of corporate pricks at their gaming sec tor that is bad and people judging as a whole based on a few idiots is a bit, well , LOL tbh

I recently realised I have mixed feelings about Sony.

When the day came to when I was sitting with a very good and expensive machine from them, and a legitimate game that I bought which I was unable to play without kissing their backside via their TOS, I really started to not like them.

Ironically, having said that, a few months ago I was deep in thought about Sony and how much I don't like them for what they did...and I realized something. I own a fair amount of sony products. I have a sony xperia arc, a sony digital 5.1 surround, all three consoles from them and a cybershot. The only thing that contains wares is their consoles (the xperia does as well I guess but Sony actually help you hack\unlock it).

So I guess I havn't been hating Sony as much as I thought I have been. Their products ARE of quality

Some people make it worse than $ony with their awful mentality of "you must not install any other software than the one it came with".

So what they're saying is that this game computer I bought I can't install the software I want? I bought it with my money, and it's mine so I decide what goes in and out.

I hate being limited to a crappy restricted firmware with little to no use ($ony's PS FWs).

Dumbass, just because I for one hate $ony's official firmware it doesn't mean I also have to detest everything they do. I own PS1-PS3 and PSP, what I fücking hate is how limited the limitations of the official firmware are.

I honestly hate this kind of bullshít that $ony fanboys spout out.

I actually hate a few things about sony.
1. Their stupid ofw.
2. Their tos even more retarded I mean come on honestly.
3. The higher-ups in the company for approving those stupid tos.

I don't hate sony, but I will not purchase anymore consoles from them, beyond the PS3 and PSP. Sony's whole way of doing business sucks. At one time I thought of Sony as a top notch company. They make good electronic devices. I've owned numerous Sony radios and cameras, and gaming consoles back to the original Playstation. I don't think I would ever consider any type of Sony product again. I think they went a bit to far when they sued geohot.

I have owned numerous Sony products over the years and loved each of them except their TV. I didn't like some of the stuff their gaming division did this gen, but I still love the Playstation brand. And it's only their gaming division. Their phone division is much more tolerant and open-source/hacking friendly than many competitors. They help you unlock your bootlader and even made some of the libs open source so custom rom teams like CM could make better unofficial roms. So all things considered, I still love Sony <3
