Open the game directory, locate the eboot.bin in the usrdir, use these tools and guide: http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php...841#post466841

Why 4.21? 4.30 (CFW) is fine to go to, everything works there plus psn acces / updates etc. No need to sign eboots and install cracked .pkg updates just update and it all works. You can also wait, its up to you!

Your patched games need their GAMEdata to be removed, and you can install the original updates. This will ''restore'' your game to default and thus makes them playable on the higher (C)FW.

![]() But can you explain why the firmwares name is Rogero CEX-4.30 v1.00 + multiMAN ver 04.08.01 + Showtime 04.01.208 What is CEX? But i cant find a guide to follow? http://www.tortuga-cove.com/132-hack...time-04-01-208 Or is is this? - Updating from CFW3.55/4.21 to the CFW4.30 v1.00 should be done using the following steps : 1- Proper Way ( CFW4.21 --> CFW3.55 --> CFW4.30 ) ---- Downgrade back to ver3.55 using the guide above. ---- Once on Rogero CEX3.55 v3.7 you can update again from Recovery Menu into the new CFW4.30 v1.00. Hmmm... Thanks for the reply. |

Some people are purists but I don't see any reason to stay on 3.55...so long as you're talking about updating to CFW. The bugs will all be worked out. I haven't had any problems. I don't need a billion patches or fixes taking up space on my hard drive and all my games and homebrew work just fine on Rogero CFW 4.30. Also, if you don't like it you can downgrade back down to 3.55 so long as you don't update on OFW. I left an old disc in last time I downgraded and it took me all the way back to OFW 2.76 or something like that I didn't even think that was possible but it gave back OtherOS and all that old stuff. When I updated to 3.55 again it even gave me the disclaimer about losing OtherOS all over again. So yeah, I don't see any harm in upgrading.
