@DEFAULTDNB I only decrypted the Eboots. I haven't encounterd any SDAT's on my way to 2.08, which I'm uploading at the moment.
When it's finished I will update my first Post

@kachijs

Only if it's just an eboot.
If they contain sdat or edat, there are extra steps to take.

I don't know If I can decrypt any Update .
I only know that all Updates for BCES worked for me.
I also upload the BCUS patch, but I don't know if this works, since I only have the BCES!

You need the "keys", "ldr_curves" and the "vsh_cruves" for Scetool. This is what would be in the second link.
The First link contains the keys for the Ebootfix from deank.

But you also could take this:
http://www.ps3hax.net/2012/11/truean...25-keys-added/

For Updates you need to pack the Eboot, Icon0 and the Param back in a .pkg, because as far as I know the pkg does an entry somewhere in the ps3 system for the required Fw. That's why it's not enough to only change the Eboot and Param.sfo after the original patch.

Confirmed working for BCUS!

Note: Install all updates including the official 2.08 then, _D_S_'s fix

Thanks @_D_S_ !

Whenever a pkg is installed, the ps3 normally writes the FW version to the metadata_db_hdd file which is located at \dev_hdd0\mms\db

You can change it with a hex editor if you manually change the files after installing a fix and/or editing the SFO of the update. Copy metadata_db_hdd to your PC, look for the GameID and the FW will be near it, make the changes, FTP back and reboot.

Otherwise you have to rebuild the database after making changes to do the same thing.
