PS3 was all around a weird console system compared to PS2 due to $ony's actions.

Let's hope they don't screw up PlayStation 4 by adding and removing feature all of the time, plus other stuff.

Not too sure I'll buy next generation consoles as there's way too many games I want to play & buy from the current gen.

well if dev kits are only just being shipped, i wouldnt hold out for it to hit the streets for quite a while yet.

if durango was shipped out in april they have a 6 month head start on sony

at least this way they are spread out so i dont have to buy all 3 at the same time wii-u/xbox/ps

Durango not 6 months ahead, the article clearly says Orbis is on the 2nd dev kit(hence why it says New Dev Kit) of 4 dev kits.

Sony aimiing for near final spec dev kits for summer 2013(4th dev kit), sound like Sony want a retail console out for Xmas 2013.

PlayStation 3 seems to have support until 2015 but before then $ony could release PlayStation 4.

Though, I doubt it will be called "PlayStation 4".

Four in Japanese has demeaning definitions so a name instead of a number might be what's gonna be used.
