hmm...4.30 shouldn't brick the slim i hope since it shutdowns while updating
i can verify that a slim 2504B 1A min 3.50 worked fine for 1.09

annd check the quote from the Rogero topic, looks like some are having hdd errors?! but that's while swapping hdd's on 4.30, it requires a certain way to perform this, also not ur case right..so..
if this console was never downgraded before it has nothing to with dehashing atleast, or a downgrade+kmeaw nocheck and never changed/dehashed then brick on any update but that's me typing some nonsense here

if rogero caused the brick wich could be, some are still bricking, could be user error or cfw fault, can't say for sure... as my expierence was lucky enough a success each time testing..anyway then u need a flasher e.g E3

What do you do since ROG 4.30 couldnt recognize new hdd's and my old hdd is damage as well. Once you put the new hdd, PS3 just shuts down

You should of changed hard drive while on 3.55
Should of installed ofw 3.55 change hard drive let it do
Its thing then updated to 4.30 rogero

My PS3 is on CFW Rog 4.30. But I can't access anything since both of my HDD were reformatted on my PC. If I put hdd on PS3, then I turn on, it turns off after 1-2 seconds. No access to recovery as wel. I know it not bricked because if I remove hdd & turn on the PS3, it stays on & will not shut down. It only says "Cannot start. The appropriate system storage was not found." My mistake is I also formatted the old hdd on my PS3. Pls help.....

Delete the partition in windows and create a new unformatted partition.

Oh. I'll give this a try as soon as I get home. Thank yo very much for sharing this method. I really hope that it works. I have been having freezing issues lately thats why I changed hdd's. I hope this would solve my problem. Thanks!

By the way, what FW should I use if it ask me to update? Should I still use Rog 4.30CFW or 3.55OFW?

THNXS everyone just fixed it the HDD was the problem i changed it and installed (4.25to3.55 pup) and worked then 3.55ofw.

my ps3 wont accepte the first HDD after intalling rogero 4.30cfw,but work like a chrame on pc. strange?

PS: u can also swap (change) HDD while on (4.25to3.55 pup).

Iwell stick on 3.55cfw for a while XD.

What exactly do you mean by works like a charm on pC? How did you do it?

I just changed my hdd, delete partition & created unformatted partition. I did

within 2 seconds. Still no access to recovery. Thats my problem right now. I

cant even install a new FW because it keeps shutting down. Oh boy I think

you cant acces recovery menu if the system is not installed

Try recovery options restore filesystem and restore ps3 system.
