You must be on 3.55 OFW or 3.55 CFW to even consider installing 4.30CFW with this guide.
Rogero recommended his 3.55 CFW v3.7 to start from, and @itskamel s guide also starts from there, but inorder to get to 3.55 CFW you must be on 3.55 OFW, so where are you starting from? If you are on v3.7 CFW rogero, go from there. If you are on 3.55 OFW install v3.7 CFW. If you are on 3.55 KMEAW, install 3.55 OFW via recovery menu, then install v3.7 rogero via recovery and go from there. If you are on >3.60 OFW, you need to hardware downgrade.

Okay, I downgraded to 3.55 , toggled the qa then updated to 3.7. The problem is, when I try to go up to 4.30 I keep getting a message "The data is corrupted. I've already re-downloaded all the firmwares that say corrupted and it's still the same problem, can anyone tell me what I've done wrong and how to fix it? Thank you in advance.

I"m on KMEAW right now. So If i get this right, go to 3.55 OFW, then 3.7 rogero. Then folow the OP. couple of questions. Is the toggle_qa part the "rehash" that is supposed to protect from brick? My console was downgraded, and not sure if the rehash was done, so I need to make sure this part gets done. Also, does this format the HD? I have games on my internal HD that I will need to backup somehow if it formats the drive. Please help

I don't believe the 3.55 ofw to 3.55 Rogero cfw 3.7 is covered here.
Basically once you're on 3.55ofw, you download 3.55 Regero cfw 3.7 from Tortuga-cove. Then update from 3.55ofw to 3.55 Rogero cfw 3.7 via recovery. Then you can follow op. Ah and dehash is important, even if your unsure, do it anyways (QA_toggle). To make sure it's done correctly hover over network settings and press L1 + L2 + L3 (press left stick) + R1 + R2 + dpad_down. You should then be able to see Edy Viewer, Debug Settings, and Install Package Files. (if u can't, run toggle program again) Oh and after downloading the files and transferring onto usb, make sure you do a md5 check before installing! 3.55 Rogero cfw 3.7 md5: 8f8166b25d6bed891f292c77de5c4b28 4.30 Rogero cfw 1.0 md5: 7ADF524594D46EF669F4C64E07462631 I'm successfully running 4.30 Regero cfw 1.0. Console: PS3 Slim Model: CECH-2503B Date code: 0C Playing Way of the Samurai 4

I didn't even go to ofw and I guess that's why I can't go up or downgrade now. Anyone know if there's a work around for this?

You definetly need to dehash once you've got 3.55cfw 3.7 installed. Did you brick it? |

In all honesty I have no idea. When I cut the ps3 Rogero 3.7 still pops ups, they only problem is, is that I can't upgrade or downgrade anymore, whenever I try it says something about the firmware being corrupt. But to answer you're question I'm not sure, don't know if it's truly a brick but I surely hope not. |
