When it's a CFW from Rebug you don't have to worry about bricking your system. You have to be a retard to brick your system using these rebug firmwares but even then it is highly unlikely you'll brick your ps3. if there's 1 CFW devolpers I have blind faith in its Team Rebug.

Afaik the last version of dex you can install now is 4.25 , Because Sony patched 4.30 to brick Dex conversions

SWAP LV2 KERNEL: Swaps between CEX and DEX LV2 Kernel. This option will only work if your Target ID is set to DEX

So if this was on their web site, and you MUST install this on CEX, how the schitt is this accomplished? From that one line it made me believe that DEX users can also just install this and away we go even though I know there are huge differences between CEX/DEX firmwares and neither of the two can be used on the other.

Can anyone confirm for me?

EDIT: Would you have to be on 3.55 CFW CEX and then change Target ID to DEX THEN install Rebug here?

hey guys i just tried to install the qa toggle pkg but i get 3 fast beeps and then when i do the button combo on the network settings nothing happens?? im on kmeaw 3.55

If QA is enabled and you run QA Toggle pkg it will 3beep and turn off QA (button combo wont work)...

So you just run the pkg again (3 beeps) and try the bottom combo...


What you ment to do is..... QA Toggle at least twice to reset the syscon/hash and make sure after the second time the button combo works...

also enable System Update Debug

yup, you convert after you flash 3.55 REX on CEX, if you convert, you can still use its features, and you have the nice bonus of debug features all working on DEX mode. That reminds me i have to try that lv2 kernel option to check out if Install Pkg Files on DEX mode allows me to install pseudo-retail packages when i convert to DEX and use the DEX kernel, since it doesn't work with the CEX kernel.

edit: looks like it doesn't work. but it's good nevertheless to make a quick swap

its working now i just restarted my ps3 and the button combo worked lol
