Rebug 4.21 <-> Rebug 3.55.3

Hello,

Sorry this is my first post, but I've been following this site for at least one year now. But now I've got some question.

I have been waiting for the rebug 4.21 firmware and now that it's out, I decided to install it.

I was on rebug 3.55.2, I installed qa_enabler, but here comes the first problem.

Once I installed the qa_enabler, I did hear the beeps. But since I was on rebug, the "Debug" folder was already there, so I didn't see anything new when I tried the combo buttons.

Is it normal ?

Since I couldn't verify, I installed the enabler many times !

Does installing qa another time disables it or not ?

Then, I decided to try to go to rebug 4.21, which worked.

Now that I'm on 4.21, do you know if there's a way to verify that QA is enabled ?

If I want to go to rebug 3.55.3, do you think I must use the 999 downgrader first or it should work without it ?

Thanks a lot for the great community !

You don't need qa on 4.21 anymore ... Well you can't use it anyway.
You can use the downgrader pup to downgrade.

In REBUG they say when talking about uninstalling 4.21 : "...REBUG 3.55.3 REX EDITION on a QA enabled PS3 or with the ’999′ DOWNGRADER if QA was NOT enabled"

is there any way to verify QA state on 4.21 ?

You have to install QA on 3.55 and then upgrade to install. So you have qa toggled on 4.2x. That explains it.

@dmemedo you have to change the xmb in rebug selector to be able to get the added menus for the button combo
