@BobbyBlunt i know how u feel its happens to me in games shops .
even in a phone shop too .
the other day i went into phone shop to buy the sony xperia s . they tried to sell all kinds of phone erm no i want the sony xperia s . the bloke asked why i want it so i said a a few reason and also a reasons is i could use sony pcm studio. next they couldnt sell me at the price they got it on there website . so i said ok i just go online and order it from there website . the bloke then went ok but this is a good phone " it was samsung phone" erm yeah what ever but its not a f**cking sony xperia s . it shouldnt matter what the reason why i wanted the phone . i wne to buy the phone i should get the phone . not get hassle why these other phones are good .

it was so much easy buying from there website . at least the website understood what i wanted and not showed me pages of other phones .

The only suggestion any gamestop employee ever made to me that I regretted turning down was the day I bought my PS3. The associate was actually an old friend of mine and he was big on PS2, but he looked at me and said "Are you sure you want to spend $600 on a PS3 when you can get a wii and a 360 for $50 more?" I declined and went home with my PS3......If I could have seen the future I should have jumped on the chance and put PS3 as my last console purchase this gen. Not like I really missed an entire lot in that first year

Even though this thread is more sided towards a rant, rather than a professional arguement, i believe the niche stores GAME (Gamestation), CEX and Blockbuster, and the mass market electrical stores Curry's, Dixons and Comet have some different concerns that they both will have to overcome.

shows that the demand for electrical goods is definiately price elastic in a current weak economy.
However a company like CEX or GAME could easily concentrate on re-training staff with knowledge, delay any expanditure plans, possibly close down a low level number of stores nationally, decrease prices on retail products and generally lower stock levels (or make it seem like stock is low on games to the public - a handy tactic).
So companies like GAME and CEX would have to have really stupid operation teams and management employees in charge to go down the drain and bust.
They'll be around trading for a long time to come yet my friend.

stores like that do not employ people who know what they are talking about as they would tell the customer to shop elsewhere.

i got refused a job at pc world (i was desperate for a job ok :P) because when asked how i would handle a certain customers needs i responded with a simple explanation and a cheaper fix. that was not how they wanted their staff to behave. profit>honesty.

fu*k retail stores. i stick with the interwebs for all my needs

I agree with everything you said in this post. That's why I wanted to cut this part out to say why I go back. I go back because gamestop does use people and screw people over. So I want to return the favor. I go and "buy" 10 games at a time, bring them home and install tyhem on my HDD only to try them out and realize that I dont like these games. So I take them all back at the same time and thier faces say it all when I tell them i am returning them because i dont like the games. They get sooo mad that they had to fet the disks case them for me and now they have to take them all out. LOL. Sometimes if Im lucky they will even give me the online codes with the games. THANK YOU GAMESTOP! Oh and of course after i return the games i delete them from my hdd. And if there are games i do like i buy them. Black ops 2 is an absolute must buy for me!
