The only model that will work, in the grand scale, for all of us (humanity in general) is to release your material (whether it be music, movies, games etc) free and without DRM. Then you, as the consumer, will pay as recompense to show support and appreciation. This definitely does not stick to the established perception of the business model but we are too used to having money as the priority and the human condition as a secondary factor....it will have to be the other way around.

I am just so happy at the moment. In Australia, they've made a legal exemption to jailbreaking, as long as it is disabling region encoding/protection. The reason why the exemption is made, is because of the country's stance on parallel importing makes any sort of region lockout encoding, in violation is the people's right to parallel import. So any game console that gets hacked, which utilises any sort of functional restrictions based on the region of software, is completely legal. When they complain about it, my government just says "tough titties". On the PS3 you have region locking of DLC, and a few titles which are region locked, and jailbreaking a PS3 allows you to get around that, so it's all legal here in Australia.

yeah the DMCA says it's "illegal" for something I paid $650+ for, they didn't give a penny for that, not counting all games, add ons I have paid for. Now they want to tell me what I "MUST" do for something it's my. It's not a damn rental system
