Loading any original PS2 disc tittle results in a black screen and system freeze. It seems it gets to the point where the PS2 system software loads as the controller shuts off.

I have tried running games in CEX/DEX modes and installed ps2 system software.

Any ideas would be a great help.

It seems someone on psx-scene has the same problem with rebug 4.21 and rogero 4.21.

You are trying to play the game from the actual ps2 disc, correct?

That's the only way it will work or suppose to work, according to your PS3 model number.

Yes sir. I have tried a few disc games I knew were working with rebug 3.55.2.

Playstation 1 formatted disc games and PS3 disc games/backups work correctly however.

Okay. You didn't state if original disc or not. I can't understand myself why it wouldn't work.

Yes, original disc's. Only cobra firmware/dongle can run ps2 backups, as far as i know.

Small update.

Tested multiple firmwares with PS2 B/C on model CECHE01 with;

OFW 3.55 - Working
CFW REBUG 3.55.2 - Working

REBUG
CFW 3.55.3 - Not Working
CFW 4.21.1 - Not Working

ROGERO - All Variants 4.21+ - Not Working

I have around 700 gig's of data on my drive and am reluctant too format. If anyone with the same model can test on these firmwares...

And yes I have reverted back to 3.55 OWF before any CFW.

Same issue here. I'm on Rebug 4.21 and not a single PS2 game works for me. I've tried 4 (original) discs with no luck.

Just giving an update: I downgraded via 999 downgrade to 3.55 cfw and then upgraded to Ermac 4.30 and now all my PS2 discs work.

+1!!not Working for me!!!I have download God Hand (PSN) and i have a blackscreen!!!It is a rebug bug.....
