I'll try it right now and let you know in a few...

EDIT: Trying to update from recovery I got the "The data is corrupted. (8002F2C5)" message. I'll try from XMB in a moment.

From XMB it recognized the data but then when I went to install it I got a "Update data of version 1.00 or later can be installed on this system. (8002F967)" message. So I guess the short answer would be "no" it doesn't work. At least not for me on a CECHE01 with Rogero 4.30 v1
