Exclamation Issue after installing rebug 4.21 or Rogero 4.30

Here is the issue I have been having and really its not with just Rebug has happened with Rogero as well.
I went to OFW 3.55 --->Rogero 3.7-->QA Flag(Dehash)-->OFW 3.55-->Rebug 4.21.

I have E3 but being I cannot Dual boot Im using just my 1tb hard drive with the 2nd swith (CFW) in the up possition(also did this in the down possition as well)

When I start up I get a message stating to connect my controller to USB and press PS button. Once I do this is finally starts to the Rebug main screen.

It does this every time I start my PS3.

Can anyone tell me what is causing this and the best way to resolve it? I think I have tried everything....but maybe Im missing something.

Thank you to anyone that can help.

If everytime you turn on your ps3, it asks you to connect controller, and asks for time, date, etc.., then you don't have the battery plugged in or it is dead.

It does not ask me for the time. All it is asking me to do is connect controller and press the PS button. I do this and it flickers and goes to the main screen and all is good.

It seems to only do this on 4.21 or higher firmwares

Does not do it if I install a 3.55 firmware

I should mention after I start the PS and it asks to connect the controller I also get "the message The system software cannot be run correctly
Press the PS button to try to restart the system."

I do this and it takes me to the main screen and all is well.

I have a similar issue. I'm using an E3 Flasher on a Slim, but not dual-booting. I upgraded from Rebug 3.41 to Rebug 3.55.3 to check if the QA flag was enabled so I could downgrade again from Rebug 4.21.1 if issues cropped up. No problems at that stage. I could use Rebug 3.55.3 without any issues.

Upgrading to Rebug 4.21.1 is a different story. The PS3 seems to think the firmware upgrade was unsuccessful, but it was. On every cold boot I'm prompted to plug a PS controller in, then install Firmware 4.21 or later.

I can bypass it by pressing Start + Select with no USB stick in the PS3, then hard rebooting again. I can then load into Rebug 4.21, spoof, get on the PSN, play games using multiMAN etc. I can also soft reboot, no problems. Power it down, turn it back on and the firmware prompt pops up again.

It's more of an annoyance than anything, but it is an issue. It's not the battery, I'm not prompted for time / date / language etc. It's not the firmware file, I've downloaded from two locations (Rebug link + dl.console.se) with the same result and it does boot into Rebug after Select + Start, reboot.

Any suggestions?

Oh, I see.

Try and boot into the recovery menu and choose option 3. Rebuild database. Don't worry, it won't format your drive. In fact the only 2 that do format your drive is 4. and 5., so don't choose those.
