Yea I can remember doing this around 2 years ago, in multiman just overwrite the homebrews PARAM with any games PARAM(I used Black Ops). It will show up as you playing the actual game when you launch the homebrew, it even shows the games name on the xmb.

Yeah this was a thing in the past, I find it odd that suddenly that whole masking procedure was scrapped. Even if you can't always access psn it's generally a good idea to hide your homebrew with another title name. Not something too obvious (like a game no one plays, but not something that almost everyone has.)
The ps3 logs everything and sends that info after every boot, at least let's try to conceal it as much as we can. Even then it probably logs param.sfo and looks for any weird entries. Last edited by Theeze; 11-05-2012 at 09:53 AM. |

Just a thought, what if we set up our ps3's to not automatically log in to psn, then after we select game we're playing through multiman, then log in to psn, its funny this thread was started, the other day my buddy called me and said, hey man what is multiman, lol, psn showed that i was using it

Well I have NOT been banned this round, but I did get a permanent console ban back during the first wave of CFW with PSN a few years ago. Rang up Sony, and had to speak with the network security team. They told me my ban was for using unauthorized software.. anyways, I have no illusions that this couldn't happen again..

We could really rub it in Sony's face.
Someone could program trophies into Multiman. "Trophy unlocked for successfully launching 5 games via direct boot" "Trophy unlocked for successful NOR dump" "Trophy unlocked for launching a game before it's official release date" :D |

I remember that one of my "pseudo virtual unknown " friend send me a message and he wrote that i use multiman, i thought this theory but i couldn't confirm it xD , so the solution is to lunch our grame via multiman before be contected to PSN and disconnect each time when we change the game ( or we change the game quickly )

It's a shame though that the privacy patch was also forgotten for minor rebug updates, handy for those of us who want to remain offline completely. |
