Sorry if this has been asked before, because I tried to find similar questions but was unable to through the 11 pages.

Anyways, I updated my PS3 to 3.56 years ago when it was the newest firmware. I was previously on a CFW 3.55. After I updated to 3.56, I never touched the PS3. It is still on 3.56. I have an E3 Card Reader.

It has been years since I have looked at the PS3 scene, and have forgotten everything haha. Will this work for me, or will I still need a flasher? Or am I in luck, and my PS3 is now hackable again?

Make a Downgrade with Prog or E3 (Flasher) and push it to the 4.21 Rebug or 4.30 Rogero CFW.

This would require me to purchase an E3 Flasher and solder it, correct? I am hoping I don't have to do either of these things now with this release.

I mean, I have waited about 2 years, I can wait a little loner for a non-soldering solution :P

can install this file on my ps3 ??? and what is going happend to my console then ?? and what i will be able to do (play from HDD) or what ?? going to CFW ?? how to install ???

Why ?

here in Germany you can have a Downgrade with cleaning and new paste for 35-40 Euro its not too much.
I mean if you will use your console its not too much money !!!
Even with this method you need a Flasher and only can use actual E3 CFW and this is for PS3s with min. Base FW 3.56.
And in this 2 years you missed very spectacular Games and Hombrew and no one can tell you how long you have to wait ... .

so now ,, im on CFW 4.30 ... can I change My CFW to Rogero ?? as i have noticed there is some issue in this CFW .. when in a game you can't quit by pressing ps button .. you have to switch off the ps3 and then switch on again to change the game .. how awful

your machine came with 3.60 right?
at the moment this is just for 3.56 models

ps3shacker,

check your Base FW with "MinVerChkr" if its 3.56 you can use this method,
if lower than 3.56 make a Downgrade and dreams come true
