this is something that has me a little confused. I have noticed that there may be several files in a duplex release but using the true ancestor re-signer, is it as simple as runnning the eboot through and using the new one? do we not need to hex edit params.sfo or modify any other files?
Just curious, been holding off for a long time on kmeaw 3.55 and even stayed on MM v2 for a long time and just trying to get back up to speed again. Not a n00b just been away a while

Unless you have a version spoofer, you still need to change the param.sfo version requirement. You need to decrypt then sign the eboot, and the same for an .sprx\.self files that the game uses. That's all doable for us simpletons. There are some games with .sdat files that very few people know how to fix and there is no public solution to fix those, yet. Duplex has released a few games with fixed .sdat files, those files are the reason for certain game modes on many sports titles not working correctly. |

ah i see so basically any game thats using .sdat file extensions will require a fix, otherwise a good old bit of hex editting
And re rogero's cfw spoofed to 4.30, does this require any re-signing at all for sub 4.30 games? thanks man for keeping me on track! |

There are a few games that still don't work for some reason though, however some of thos few games have been fixed by downloading latest update. In terms of .sdat, yes only Duplex has cracked them and maybe N0DRM have done a couple, but that's it. It really is extremely easy to make a fix, no hex editing\getting dirty required ![]() Would post a step by step guide but I'm exhausted and off to be mate. |
