OK, here is my problem.
I have a PS3 with a custom firmware installed in it, but i don't know whether it is Kmew, rogero or ..., whether it is 3.55 or 3.41 because it might be spoofed (Though I think it is lv1 patched), so is there any way i can know which custom firmware i have just by checking it from the console itself.

And assuming it has been lv1 patched can i still install any Multiman version or any other .pkg file without dehashing, because the guy who gave it to me told me not upgrade or install any pkg file or I'll get a brick (Though it does not make sense to me except for the upgrading to another CFW part)

I dont think there is a way to absolutely tell (I'm probably wrong here).

Rogero would boot up with a logo saying "rogero".. kmeaw doesnt have any telling signs... or it could be any number of other MFW's...

I would just install QA toggle, and flag the machine, go to recovery and install OFW 3.55, (effectively dehashing) and then install whatever CFW I want, and from here I would know what cfw I have on my machine

I dont get why he would tell you installing a PKG would brick it?

What model is it? (CECH-xxxxxxx ??)

well it is a CECH-2004b, 250GB Slim
and before dehashing and installing Kmeaw I should probably install a newer Multiman version to get a backup dump of my NOR flash, so would that be safe ?

Yeah update to latest mmCM 04.09.00 (although you will be installing a pkg that according to your person could brick it ) and make a dump.
