Im having trouble formatting my flash drive to a bd hdd

I have completed the reweite target id for flash step... I just keep trying a error when trying to format my 1gb flash drive to a bd hdd on the ps3

I heard something about a flash drive being to small???

Shouldn't be the flash drive size. I'm using an old left over 512mb flash drive for it and it worked fine. Are you sure you flashed to DEX? I kept getting that error when i was on CEX.

How do i check if i flashed the dex properly?

And say if i have a 1tb ext hard drive can i use that to write the playstation.iso and have my game backups on the same drive ?

Under Rebug Toolbox>System Information it says
PS3 System: Firmware 4.21 DEX
LV2 KERNEL CEX / DEX
Target type CEX / DEX
Depending where you are in the process.

I succesfully converted to DEX and saw the PS3 disc mounted, but when I tried to start Multiman in DEX mode it didn't boot and set me back to XMB. Any idea why that happened?

EDIT: Reinstalled Multiman and it's working now. Thanks again!

Another method to flash your NAN or NOR.... use multiman and browse to your usb and click on the file and follow instruction

excuse me but what you say lead to brick
the rebug toolbox flash only less than 1KB not the whole nand

i am having a bit of problem, i cant flash my DEX-FLASH.EID0.NANDBIN, when i go the toolbox i get no response at all when i choose to flash, can anyone help me with this weird problem, i am on rebug 4.21 fw
