If it boots and plays - it works - if there's something missing, it will be because you are playing a pirate copy and haven't entered your "online pass"\"dlc code". For example this is the case with GT5 Academy.

Tested on KMEAW 3.55, 9.99 spoofed, with & without BD mirror, and with a disc in, internal & external...

I'm going to try mod the original eboot rather than the 1.01 update, and report back

EDIT: 1.00 disc eboot throws up a 8001003c error..

0x8001003C Incorrect version in sys_load_param.

Any ideas?

To correct the 8001003C error try this : 1- decrypt EBOOT.BIN with scetool v0.2.8 : scetool -d EBOOT.BIN EBOOT.ELF 2- rename EBOOT.BIN EBOOT_ORIGINAL.BIN 3- Edit the EBOOT.ELF in hexadecimal (I'm using Hex Editor Neo) : search 24 13 BC C5 F6 and just after you should get 00 33 00 00 00 36 change 36 to 34 and save 4- encrypt the EBOOT.ELF with scetool : scetool.exe --sce-type=SELF --compress-data=FALSE --skip-sections=FALSE --key-revision=000A --self-auth-id=1010000001000003 --self-vendor-id=01000002 --self-type=NPDRM --self-fw-version=0003005500000000 --np-license-type=FREE --np-content-id=xxxxxxxxx --np-app-type=EXEC --np-real-fname=EBOOT.BIN --encrypt EBOOT.ELF EBOOT.BIN

I patched out the 8001003c error, now it asks me to update to 1.01, I click no and it loads forever again

Reading around on other sites too: not one of the patches made by anyone seems to work yet

Seems to get stuck on installing data, I know there is a <somethingorother>big.BIN file that needs installing.. but I cant figure out how to get past this. Perhaps we can extract the contents of the big.BIN and manually FTP over to the directory?

The eboot file I modded through TAER 1.4 = 9,467kb = failed 8001003c error
The eboot I then patched error out of = 9,731kb = fails to install gamedata
Another eboot patch I have found = 9,606kb = 80010007 error =

ENOEXEC 0x80010007 The file is in unrecognized format / The file is not a valid ELF file.

No SPRX's/SELF's/SDAT's present....

I know mate, it's strange. I'm getting same thing with Zone of the Enders HD collection, there's no .sdat files. Have resigned the .self for both games and the main launcher patched param.sfo etc...no dice.

I don't use the eboot resigner from that guy your using, I'm using "Resigning Tools v1.71 by Attila"

Have tried with both fixed update method and fixing the actual game files, same results for both

Oh well, just have to wait for the pros I guess

Likely there's some sprx\.sdat in the install archive on the games. Just a guess though I have literally no clue about this stuff

Eboot fixed with deanK's ebootfix/ebootmod = 20,389kb = loads forever..... DAMN IT.

Perhaps its just a bad rip? none of those games
