this is the only remarry files i can find.

I Thought you at some point during this had installed <=3.30 firmware on your ps3 but you apparently have kmeaw, try to remarry again after you install 3.55 ofw and if that still doesn't work then it must be because of that ribbon cable(assuming everything else on your ps3 is fine)

i allready came to the conclusion that i had a game in the drive while attempting the remarry process, this also caused my blackscreen while in normal service mode.

will probably trying the final remarry thing tonight on my 40GB ps3 with good ribbon cable, wish me luck and thanks for the help

EDIT: , ok succesfully remarried both drives, thanks @Bigbones87 and @butnut for replying and helping.

are there 2 leaks for the 3.55f/w?
if not then when did it change to use 3.55 not 3.30 in the remarry files?
i havent seen this anywhere. i dont suppose you have a link to any info to using it with 355 in the files do you?

As far as I know there is the orignial 3.30 remarry files that were included in the cex-dex kit.rar leak.

Then some time later there was a 3.55 version released.

Both of them use 3.30 firmware to do the remarry, but the first leak requires 3.30 to be installed on the system and the second allows 3.55 to be installed.

I thought he had 3.30 installed on his ps3 that is why I was telling him to use 3.55 instead.

ok, i'm a little affraid to start the process due to the following reason:

1. the md5 check from fdm_spu_module.self dous not match, is now : 8B71331447ACC2C6E24E638C8B417D5B and according to devwiki it should be :33E8D3C12349CFD203930FD0C237054D
i got this file from 2 different locations and they do match with each other, but not with the check provided from the readme in remarry-3.55.rar (devwiki)

2. how great is the chance that i brick my ps3 using this method, considering that it's never downgraded and is still on 3.55 kmeaw.
i want to remarry between a drive from a 40Gb ps3 and a 60GB ps3, logic boards do match.

3. will this only change the drive?, in other words if it's not working can i put the original dead drive good logic board back and would it work again. (discless)

i now have a 60GB ps3 that's on it's last leg but good drive, and a 40GB ps3 that is good but suffer from a dead motor syndrom, so i can only play discless stuff, it would be great to have a good ps3 again on 3.55.

i'm worried the most about the md5 fail
I just checked the remarry-3.55.rar I got from the devwiki a good while ago and the MD5 of the fdm_spu_module.self is the same as you posted and I used this with success.

but have you checked the newer multiman that is supposed to do the remarry?
