That's kind of hard to do when your PS3 doesn't run any discs.

Doesn't work.. I followed the steps exactly, but when I go to toolbox 2 it says "the file you provided is not compatible with your system!"

What am I doing wrong?

1) Ive got the DEX-FLASH.EID0.NANDBIN file

2) Ive got the flash dump from CEX (that I got while I was on 3.55 cfw), named it CEX-FLASH.EID0.NANDBIN, tried to have both files in the USB flash when inserting it to the PS3, went to toolbox and tried to rewrite flash.. but same message.

3) Tried with a new flash dump that I got from the toolbox 2, went to my PC and changed the name of that file to .bin from .nandbin, went back to toolbox to and tried to overwrite flash now with my DEX-FLASH.EID0.NANDBIN and the NAND dump I just got from toolbox 2 (renamed to .bin)... Still same message.

4) Used "export flash to file" in toolbox 2 AGAIN, this time keeping the .nandbin file that I just got, and then tried to rewrite the flash again in toolbox, same message.

So Ive tried countless things, from using the old CEX NAND dump that I renamed to .nandbin, to taking a new nand dump from toolbox 2, renaming it to .bin, to NOT renaming it to .bin but keeping .nandbin... Same error every time.

Please tell me what Im doing wrong? I also went to multiman, went to my usb stick in mM, clicked on the DEX-FLASH.EID0.NANDBIN file, it said "this operation will OVERWRITE your current flash, are you sure?" I press yes.. Still, same message:

"The file you provided is not compatible with your system!"

EDIT: Managed to get it to work! Instead of using the nand dump from 3.55, I went to rebug 4.21 and from there went to toolbox 2 and dumped the nand.. Then, I put that nand dump (renamed it from .nandbin to .bin file) and the root key dump into the c2d.exe, got a dex.NANDBIN file that I put into the flash usb, inserted it into the PS3 and NOW I WENT TO TOOLBOX2 AND REWROTE FLASH! So in essence; do NOT use the nand flash from 3.55 to create your DEX.NANDBIN, use your nand flash from 4.21 to create your DEX.NANDBIN!

I have a flash dump of 3.55, how do I obtain the eid_root_key without downgrading back to 3.55?
