I'm on Rogero CFW 4.21 v1.09.(phat console) I used to be able to play my burnt PSX game on Cd but now, multiman can see the CD as PSX but pressing X does nothing. Anyone help please ? All else working good..... PLease I love my Crash Bandicoot !!!

I can confirm that PSX backups are not launching from MM 4.10 on Rogero 4.30 v2. Has anyone resigned the "One" app for 4.30 to launch Psx from Game XMB?

From what I remember from a long time ago. Sony fix alot of the stuff cobra was doing in a firmware update. So loading back-ups by simply calling up the ELF my have been fixed, but I will search around to see if I can find the update. If it helps anyone I read about it on here.

That would be some bullsh*t for anybody who updated from 3.55 kmeaw to 4.30 Rogero. I have PSX backups but luckily for me my PS3 is backwards compatible and I can play my PSX original disc.

I believe so but not PSX backups. It really doesn't matter for PS2 compatibility no more either. Only if you want to play PS2 backups you can USB ADVANCE /SWAP MAGIC for backups.

Why would a PS3 be able to read PSX originals but not backups? They're the same games.
BC refers ONLY to PS2 compatibility.

That was some stupid rumor started by Demonhades. Not like he could actually know Sony did this since back then he couldn't decrypt 3.70... He most likely said that because ps2_softemu.self was removed in that firmware.

Cobra runs PS1/PS2 backups because they modified the emulators to do so...

I would imagine that with the new keys leak @Rogero or Deank might be able to fix/patch this. Somebody will correct me if I'm wrong.

True but PSX backups doesn't appear via XMB, but original disc do. Explain to me why the backup isn't appearing in the game column when its set on ALL.


Slight derailment of this thread.

Anybody think it may be easier to Swap Magic PSP isos than actually fully decrypting Cobra? USBADVANCE can play PS2 backups, so maybe we develop something similar.
