I know there is a way to appear playing a game instead of "multiMan", when online. Anybody knows how? I tried to reach sandungas (the front page says that), but had no luck.

You mean you want it to say something like "Playing My Little Pony" instead of "multiMan"? If so, all you need to do is edit the PARAM.SFO of multiMan and changing it to whatever you want.

Can't you just load up multiman offline and log back on after the game is loaded? At least the people on your friends list won't be suspicious. As for Sony, it doesn't matter on or offline they know.
Even if you change it to something like rogue warrior or hannah montana, they can match the sfo with the original and detect slight differences. The only reason to have any other game name is to avoid your friends and not so close friends from reporting or asking questions. Other than that it doesn't matter. Load multiman offline, pick your game and then sign in. |

http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php...M.SFO+multiman
I've been checking this out but im a little confused. When modifying the TITLE of a original PARAM.SFO (not created by you)... you need to change the "data used size" (8) of the value TITLE in his line of the variable table I.E. a game whose name is: "HIPERAMAZING" (is using 12 bytes + 1 because is UTF-8) and you change it to: "Decent Name Game" (you are using 16 + 1 because is UTF-8) Multiman is 8 bytes + 1 but multimans param.sfo at offset b8 is 05... should it not be 09??? Ok i was able to edit multimans param.sfo so it showed a game title instead of multiman but it changed back after i returned to the xmb I tried changing the r/w permissons on the file but it didnt seem to help....any ideas...and would editing the game id make any difference either? Well it appears the game id code stays but as soon as you load multiman the param.sfo reverts back to multiman...Changing permissions on the file doesn't seem to stop it and the permissions are changed back to r/w afterward too. It seems like you have to copy the edited file back everytime you load multiman in order to keep multiman hidden from you friends... If you dont, they will always see it the next time you load it Last edited by jarmster; 11-09-2012 at 01:32 AM. |
