Thank you keyblayder, now Ive encountered another problem. Im on this step:

* Click "Save / Emu ..." button
* Select "Write Image to BD Emulator HDD"
* Select your BDEMU USB HDD
* Pick a slot from the list and click “Write Image”

Ive chosen the playstation3.iso file, press save / Emu button, then a list comes up but it is completely empty! I cannot select anything since the list is empty. What should I do?

EDIT: Got it, stupid me didn't run as administrator

just question for clarification...

im on rebug 4.21.1 CEX, do i need to go to 3.55 kmeaw to get the root key?
if yes, is this process correct:
rebug 4.21 -> rebug 999downgrade -> rebug 3.55 -> 3.55 kmeaw

and when im on dex,
how to revert back to rebug 4.21.1 CEX?

you dont have to be on kmeaw, rebug 3.55 is just fine (i've done it)

about converting back to cex, from what i read on rebug's site you need your original 4.21 CEX dump (use the export flash to file option) then:

Originally Posted by rebug.me

and use the rewrite target id, simple as that

also if you want CEX kernel while being on DEX, you can use the "SWAP LV2 KERNEL", this will fix your problems with save games and game data, but you cannot use BDEMU while on it

sorry but as far as i know u must be on 3.55 (rebug is ok), its not really hard if u are already on rebug 4.21 > 999 downgrader >>> rebug 3.55.3 > dump root keys >>> rebug 4.21

And here is the problem ;/ when you modify rebug 999 on BDB, while trying to update pops up an error corrupted data (8002f2c5)
but original file rebug 999 and other modified BDB FW working properly;/

yesterday I updated cfw 3.55 -->cfw 4.21 rebug (previously modified the BDB) and everything was ok ;/

maybe rebug 999 is protected against modification

edit
maybe i can use 4.25to3.55 from regero pup file?

what do you mean by modification, do u mean you cant downgrade to rebug 3.55.3 from the 999 downgrader ?

if u want to use rogero cfw to downgrade i suggest using this guide by rogero ( the QA flagging is important)

- Downgrading back to 3.55 is always possible using the following steps :
- Download the Downgrader PUP ---> Downgrader PUP mirror ---> Downgrader PUP
...Size 176MB (184,595,263 bytes) MD5: 49d80e07fc1f5ca1b0840e02e94635db
- Rename the downloaded file to "PS3UPDAT.PUP" and put it on your USB in: "USB\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP"
- While on Rogero CFW4.30, go to System Update from XMB and install the Downgrader PUP.
- After the Downgrader PUP installs you'll be on a hybrid CFW3.55 that will still shows ver4.21/4.30 from system settings.
- Enable QA flag by following these steps:

1- Download the Rebug QA_Toggle package from here ---> toggle_qa.pkg
2- Put the "toggle_qa.pkg" on USB and Install it on the PS3.
3- Run the "Rebug Toggle QA" from XMB, the screen will go Black and you will see HDD Led activity then if all went fine you will hear 2 or 3 Beeps and the PS3 will Restart back to XMB.
4- If you want to make sure QA flag was set, go to "Network Settings" then apply the following key combo (all at the same time):

L1 + L2 + L3 (press left stick) + R1 + R2 + dpad_down

You should see Edy Viewer, Debug Settings, and Install Package Files if done correctly.

- Now put "Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7" on your USB in: "USB\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP" ---> Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7.PUP
- Start the PS3 into Recovery Menu and install "Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7" (from Recovery Menu, this is important)
- Once you're back on Rogero CFW3.55 v3.7 Start the PS3 into Recovery Menu and install any CFW 3.55/4.21/4.30.

I always have an error when I do the "rewrite Target ID in Flash".

My file is renamed as "DEX-FLASH.EID0.NORBIN" but Windows detects it as a .BIN file.

Is it normal or should it be .NORBIN? If so, how do I change the extension? Because renaming it doesn't work.

go to folder options in windows > view > untick the hide extensions for known file types :D
