PS3 with 3.41 - What should i do?
I have been looking for a 3.55 PS3 for ages, and finally got in contact with a guy who wants around 100 bucks for it. It has 3.41 installed right now, but has a broken Blu-ray drive.
I've heard that it's requred to have a working drive to play backup games, unless you use Rogero's latest firmware. I don't understand to much when it comes to the PS3 and CFW, but to my understanding, i have to install 3.55 OFW, then 3.55 CFW, and then just update to Rogero's latest? I have read the stickys but still can't manage to understand what to do. I don't have any model number for it, but it has the memory card readers and 4 usb ports. Now, is it worth getting this PS3? Any help is highly appreciated. EDIT: I'm planning on replacing the drive in the future. |

your PS3 model is NAND, it is between CECHA to CECHG. you might be intersetd with CFW Rebug REX edition, this support PS3 with a broken Bluray drive.

Thanks for the info. What's the difference between this and other CFW's?

as I said above you can play games with a broken bluray drive and there's no way it'll bricking your console either. it's very stable.
