Ps3 hacking

Hello, I own a ps3 slim, MW3 bundle. It was made in 2011. I looked all over the internet and found nothing about what CF it was. So I believe it was 3.56 before I updated it. I do have usb drive. I also saw youtube is full of fake information.
I, myself been into psp hacking. I own two psp's they run: 6.20 Pro7 (for psp 3001) and 6:20 Pro b-4 for the psp 1000. I have tons of ISO games on my psp's and some say the ps3 could play them. But the games are ISO so the ps3 can't unless hacked? I understand little about ps3. I know I must downgrade it from
4.31 ( or its 4.30) to 3.56 in order to hack. I know you copy the downgrader to USB stick then plug into ps3 go onto update. Same for installing CFW.

So what I'm asking is, do we have a downgrader from 4.31 or 4.30 to 3.56?
And the CFW?
I want to hack my ps3 so I can enjoy free games. I spent way to much on the games. I have a website for free games so I'm not asking for them

I tried to read the Guide buts it no help.

Perhaps, connection my hacked psp to my ps3 is that safe? Can sony just catch me and Ip ban me?

check it's model on the bottom before you move on..
believing doesn't brings you far.. you need to be sure ^^

or run the minfwcheck.. can be downloaded from my sig

if it's 3.55 ( or 3.56? ), you can downgrade, but you'll need an hardware flasher to do so.. ( e3, progskeet.. whatever suits you )

A great guide to downgrading follow the whole thing you will be fine.

Also if your PS3 came with 3.56 OFW from the factory then you are out of luck as only OFW's up to 3.55 can be jailbroken.

Be aware that the hardware equipments (including soldering tools, efforts, patience, etc.) needed for flashing are quite expensive. The total cost is much higher than a broken PS3 that's easily fixed. If you think you won't have any problem flashing and you're confident to do it, then go for it. Otherwise, just buy a broken PS3 (faulty blu-ray or dead laser) with a firmware that's less than 3.55, replace the dead blu-ray drive or replace the dead laser with a new one (must be the same laser version) and upgrade the PS3 to CFW. This is cheaper, but the only downside is that if you have a crazy brick during the upgrade or whatever, you have no choice but to unbrick it by flashing. It'd be a good idea to have 2 PS3s because in the future, there may be a software downgrade.

Or just pay someone to downgrade your PS3 back to 3.55.

Sorry guys, I wasn't inactive. I thought my post was deleted. I was clicking
UserCP and it wasn't showing up. I will check my ps3 and update to this post. Maybe about 30 minutes from now. Thanks.

*added*

The ps3 is 3001B

I ran the checker, it said: Update data of 4.10 version or later can be installed on system.
