Resident Evil 6 - validation freeze

Hi Guys

I recently upgraded to Rogero 4.30 CFW; tried a few "newer" games which all work fine: tested...

One Piece Pirate Warriors
Lollipop Chainsaw

But i'm having an issue with Resi6; when i load up Multiman...try to launch the game it freezes on the Validation black screen...does the same when trying to backup to internal.
Is there something I'm missing?

Freezes or takes a long time? I have heard prior to this that Resident evil can take minutes.

i waited about 5mins....but i'll wait a bit longer if its a known issue
Will try again tonight....does it work better off internal or external?

this might be a noob question but anyhow...why are there so many fixes/issues with newer games? being on 4.30 i would've thought that newer games would just work as the FW was the only thing blocking 3.55 users?

I had the same problem, solution: transfer the game from your PC to the PS3 internal HD using FTP and the game should boot fine, at least worked for me.

I'm on 4.21REX. had a similar problem (Trophy registration error or something) with Fifa 13 and a few others. I had to delete the trophy-data and then the game booted normaly.

Thanks guys, managed to sort it....took about 10mins to start up, after restarting the game its pretty much instant now.

Will FTP it to my internal next...feel thats the best option.

Resident Evil 6 has way to many small files... There may be a solution in the future if MultiMAN gets a better validation algorythm but for now you should play it from internal HDD to speed up this process.
