xbox 360 rgh question on ps3 forum?

Not sure if I can ask about xbox 360 on here, but here goes. I have a jasper rgh1 console. I had a 20 gb official hdd on it. I upgraded to a 60 gb, no problems. Then i bought an elite model for dirt cheap. Now, i am trying to put the 120 gb official hdd on the rgh console, but it wont take. It wont even glitch or boot with that hard drive on it. I asked on a xbox360 forum and someone told me to hook it to my computer and format it, which i did. Big mistake because i get the same result, except now my retail console wont even recognize it. If i have it on top it says no storage device detected. If i plug it in by the transfer cable, it will only let me configure 16 gb for storage. Any advice would be much appreciated.

not sure if you missed this or not, but i stated the console wont even boot up with the hard drive attached. I also stated I already formatted it, although i formatted it to fat32, and it still wont boot with it, and my retail console wont see it now either.

Your retail wont see it again until you flash it with a hdss.bin file.
And your rgh not booting with it installed(formatted to fat32), makes me think the adapter cable isn't completely snug, as I've upgraded my trinities hard drive twice, and both times there was no problems(except when it was formatted to ntfs it wouldn't recognize)

Ok...thanks. This is fat model console and a fat hard drive. The 60 gb works fine, so I wouldn't think it would be the adapter cable, since they are both official ms hdd. If I can't get it to work with the rgh, how would I go about flashing the Hdss.bin?

I was more thinking the adapter in the hd bay just wasn't connected properly, and just double check the connection, and for the hdss.bin, ill pm you a link as id rather you read the tutorial than an interpretation of it.

edit: it does require a flasher.

Thanks again. And....What?...a flasher to replace the file on the hard drive? Well that sucks. I guess I shoulda never formatted it, since it worked fine on my retail console before doing that. Only flasher I have is for ps3s
